Wooden Watermelon Basket

Hello and welcome!
You are viewing a vintage wooden watermelon painted basket, which I just adore! When I see it, I think of taking it out for a picnic at the park, packed with cold cuts, cheeses, and crackers, some cute napkins, and a few champagne glasses.
This basket is solid on the sides, wood slats inside, with an attached wooden handle.
This particular basket shows some signs of wear. If you don’t mind that (I think it just adds character), then great! But if you’d rather repaint it, you can do that as well!
Some of it’s vintage characteristics include: one side is slightly darker than the other. (Perhaps this was left in a spot where the sunlight washed out one side?) There are a few chips on some of the corners, and a few marks as well.
I encourage you to look at and study all photos. This watermelon basket is still highly functional and in good condition overall, but is also a vintage piece and therefore not perfect.
It measures 16” long, 12” high including the handle, and 8” wide.
